About Rabbi Yosef Goldman

Rabbi Yosef Goldman received his rabbinic ordination from Jewish Theological Seminary in 2013, with a concentration in pastoral care and counseling, along with a Masters of Sacred Music. He has served in pulpits along the West Coast, from Temple Beth Zion-Beth Israel located in Philidelphia to his current pulpit, Shaare Torah, located in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

In addition to his rabbinical career, Rabbi Goldman is an accomplished composer. His first album - Open my Heart - was released in 2019. His music harkens back to his mixed Ashkenazi-Mizrachi heritage and weaves together lush harmonies. Rabbi Goldman has performed in the Hadar Ensemble and is a founding member of the Middle Eastern Jewish music ensemble, the Epichorus.

Rabbi Goldman is married to Rabbi Annie Lewish, with whom he shares the pulpit at Shaare Torah. Together, they have two children: Zohar Leiba and Shir Emet.
