Sisterhood Shabbat & Toy Drive Info
Please come and watch our Sisterhood members lead services and listen to the beautiful voices of the Sisterhood Ensemble as they perform several musical selections. This year we will have the privilege of listening to two women, Marilyn Buckner Martin and Jodi Finn, who were members of one of the first b’nai mitzvah classes at Agudas Achim (58 years ago) that allowed women to become a bat mitzvah. They will tell us about how women’s participation in the service evolved during their years at Agudas Achim. We also have the good fortune to have Barbara Finkel, the President of the Seaboard Region of the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism, take part in our service. Please come early, as Ms. Finkel will be chanting Psukei d’Zimra service.
Sisterhood will again have its annual toy drive for Children's Hospital. The toy drive will begin on February 8 and continue until February 22. The Hospital's wish list is at: http://childrensnational.org/giving/get-involved/volunteer#tab-5.
