ALIVE! Non-perishable Food Collection
   ALIVE! also accepts nonperishable foods at its food warehouse, 801 S. Payne St., Alexandria. Reusable bags are a plus, both to hold the donated foods and as extras. Donations may be dropped off Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (7 p.m. on Thursdays). 
   Please, NO bulk portions, NO expired foods, NO glass containers, and limit contributions to the following items:
- Canned Fruits and vegetables
- Applesauce
- Fruit cups
- Jellies and jams
- Canned or dried beans and peas
- Canned beef stew, chili, bean soup
- Peanut butter
- White, brown, or wild rice
- Couscous or quinoa
- Masa or maseca
- Oatmeal and cereals
- Granola bars
- Whole wheat or multi-grain crackers
- Liquid, shelf-stable milk
- Canola, olive or vegetable oil
- Pasta sauce
Alexandria Eviction Prevention Partnership Volunteers Needed
ALIVE! needs volunteers to support the Alexandria Eviction Prevention Partnership (AEPP) phone line and client intake process. Proficiency in Spanish or Amharic is a plus but not required. Training is provided and remote volunteering is possible. If you're interested in learning more, contact Liza Feiler.

ALIVE! Pop-Up Food Distributions

The housewares program is up and running again. Visit the ALIVE! Housewares webpage for the list of accepted and needed items and for the drop-off site. Needed items change with fluctuating inventory, so check the list before donating.
