Metanot L’evyonim—Purim Help for the NeedyMarch 9 through March 17Celebrate Purim with ALIVE! and fulfill the mitzvah of matanot l’evyonim, help for the needy. When you come to synagogue for Purim activities, please bring ready-to-heat/ready-to-eat meals or snacks to help nourish Alexandria’s school kids over weekends. Choose any of the following in single-serve cups, packets, boxes, etc.:
Drop off your contributions in the collection bins in the lobby near the Flax Family Chapel any time March 9 through March 17. Not coming to shul? Mail a contribution directly to ALIVE! marked “AAC Food Drive” in the subject line.Mac & cheese, juices, oatmeal, ravioli and other pasta meals, tuna lunch kits, ramen, chips, crackers, goldfish, raisins, peanut butter and cheese crackers, granola bars, shelf stable milk.
