The Social Action Book and Movie Club's March selection is Julius Lester's Lovesong Becoming a Jew. Lester was born the son of a southern Black Methodist minister. Lovesong is his written account on his spiritual journey from the conventions of his Southern heritage and Methodist upbringing to his personal self-discovery through conversion to Judaism.
