High Holiday FAQs

High Holiday FAQs

Q. I haven't completed the High Holiday forms yet. Am I still able to do so?
A. Due to an overwhelmingly positive response, several of the items offered in the High Holiday forms are no longer available, however, we would still love for you to join the community for holiday services. Please complete the High Holiday forms to receive the service Zoom information:  (On the forms, selections must be made for each and every section. Please make a selection for the following items: borrow a Mahzor or receive a unique online user license; permanent seat dedication; Blessing the Babies; Kol Nidre donation; Youth program support; Memorial plaque; Sisterhood membership, Men's Club membership. For anything else, please select "No/No thank you" since it is no longer available.)

Q. I'm having trouble submiting my form. Why isn't it working?
A. To complete and submit the forms you must be logged in to ShulCloud (i.e., the Agudas Achim website). In the upper right corner of the website, please login. Any questions regarding login, the online form and the High Holidays should be directed to Barry Nove, Executive Director,

Q. Please explain the payment/billing options for the High Holiday forms.
A. If you'd like to pay by check, select "Bill to My Account" and the amount owed will be added to your synagogue account. (This option will only be available when you are logged in to ShulCloud.) A statement will be sent shortly or you can go online to your account to pay the balance.

Electronic funds transfer is another payment option. And, paying by credit card is an option, however, a 3% convenience fee will be added.

Q. How can I get a mahzor/prayerbook for the High Holidays?
A. We had such a great response to the offer to buy new Mahzor Lev Shalem that we have sold out. However, several options remain:

  1. Borrow from the synagogue and return it by October 1. Either select this option when you complete your forms, or if your forms are already complete, please email Erica Jacobs to request to borrow one or more mahzor(im).
  2. Obtain a single-user license for an electronic version
  3. Purchase one directly from the Rabbinical Assembly,
  4. Purchase one from Amazon,

Q. I don't see the Zoom information for High Holiday services. When will that come out?
A. On Monday, September 14, the Zoom service links will be sent to all members who have completed the High Holiday forms.

Q. Why isn't the Zoom link posted on our website like the regular service link?
A. We welcome anyone to our service who demonstrates a commitment to our community. For security purposes, we are not broadcasting the High Holiday Zoom link and ask all who are given a link not to share it with others.

Q. Can my friends or relatives who are not members of our congregation join the AAC High Holiday service Zoom?
A. Absolutely. Please share the registration form for non-members with your friends and relatives who are interested in attending Agudas Achim virtual High Holiday services. Non-members who register this way will receive a Zoom link for our services on Monday, September 14.

Q. How do I get the mahzor, package or other items I ordered?

Q. I'm borrowing a mahzor/prayerbook for the holidays. How do I return it to the synagogue?
A. All borrowed mahzorim should be returned to the synagogue by Thursday October 1. A box will be left outside the front (wood) doors for book return along with a list where you should check off your name and number of mahzorim returned. Anyone who does not return borrowed mahzorim by this date will be charged for the purchase of the book(s).
