7:00 PM - 8:00 PMZoom
We know that many families and members of our community are looking for ways to show their support for Ukraine. Ludmilla Huntsman will be happy to share more about the situation in Ukraine and its implications for the US in a zoom session on Tuesday, May 17 from 7-8 pm. She can speak from personal as well as professional experience. She and her three children had intended to spend the year in Ukraine with family; thankfully, she and the children made it back to Alexandria safely just days before the war started.

Ludmilla was a finalist for a 2022/2023 Fulbright US Scholar Program in Ukraine until the very recent cancellation of the program due to the security situation there; her research focuses on counter-disinformation strategies involving cognitive security models. In the past, Ludmilla was the 151st Franklin Fellow at the US Department of State. In 2013-2014 she served as an advisor for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at DoS and was detailed to support the Secretary's special initiative to combat Russian disinformation in response to Ukraine's crisis, Russian occupation of Ukraine's Donbass territories and annexation of Crimea.
