Music at AAC
Music at AAC
We are blessed at Agudas Achim to foster an active and inspiring musical program. Our children learn from day one that playing together also means singing together, especially if their families attend our Oh, Say Shalom Sing Alongs.
Members who enjoy singing or playing instruments have access to a variety of ways to express their musical talents through our in-house band, Ein Lanu Z’man, and our Sisterhood Ensemble. And everyone learns through music as we find talented musicians to enhance our worship, expose us to new melodies, and inspire us with their voices. We look forward to another year of music at Agudas Achim.
Ein Lanu Z’man – The Agudas Achim Band
Ein Lanu Z'man comprises members of our congregation who love making music. The band gives concerts periodically and released its first CD “Ein Lanu Z’man – We Have No Time.” The band still enjoys what little time it has sharing its music with the congregation and community. In addition to its talented vocalists, the group includes a diverse array of instrumentation, including trumpet, clarinet, guitar, electric bass, violin, oboe, percussion, and English concertina. Make sure to catch us at one of our gigs here at Agudas Achim and/or in the DC Community.
Sisterhood Ensemble – Women’s A Cappella
If you are a woman who loves to sing Jewish music, this is the perfect group for you! This is the latest addition to our musical groups at Agudas Achim and already we are making beautiful music and new friends. If you are interested in joining the ensemble, please contact Hazzan Dienstfrey or call the office, 703-998-6460. Please note that teens are invited to join us!
