Preschool Steering Committee

The Preschool Steering Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the Preschool and assists the Preschool Director in policy making, fundraising, publicity, and networking with parents to ensure that that the preschool provides a positive and enriching experience for our students.

The committee also spearheads parent-based initiatives, including the monthly school newsletter, the fall sale and the spring Rocknoceros concert. This committee comprises preschool parents who are members of Agudas Achim Congregation, the Vice President of Youth Services for the Board of the Congregation, and the Preschool Director.

The committee’s monthly meetings are open to all preschool parents.

Room Parents and Other Volunteer Opportunities

The Agudas Achim Preschool enjoys a dynamic and involved parent base. While we are NOT a cooperative preschool, we encourage parents to take an active role by sharing their ideas, energy and skills. Opportunities for involvement in the preschool include volunteering as a room parent, assisting with an school event, or helping with fundraising.

Preschool Newsletter

The Preschool Steering Committee publishes a monthly newsletter with items of interest pertaining to the preschool. The newsletter includes notes from the steering committee as well as information about upcoming holidays, children’s birthdays, notes from the director and more.
