Preschool Summer Camp

Summer 2010 - Summary of Sessions

The camp will run in three 2-week sessions, as listed below. Each session has its own particular theme.

Session 1: Summer Science - Monday, June 28th – Friday, July 9th

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Summer Science is fun,
We'll show you it's true.

From melting crayons on the sidewalk to making bubbles on the playground… There are always so many fun science activities to do when it is hot outside. During this session, your child will enjoy many of these experiments and experiences!

Session 2: Commotion in the Ocean - Monday, July 12th – Friday, July 23rd

So begins the popular children's book (written by Giles Andreae)…
And, summer time is most definitely beach and ocean time!
In this session, children will explore many mysteries of the ocean,
as well as learning some new fun facts.

Session 3: Books and Cooks - Monday, July 26th – Friday, August 6th

Young children love to experience literature extensions which take place in the kitchen!
In this session, the children will hear Read-Alouds of books
which incorporate cooking/baking into their plots.
Then, the children will enjoy related cooking/baking activities.
